About this design

The brief was to help the customers create multi-functioning space that could be used as a lounge, for entertaining, as an office and as a music room for their daughter as part of a wider landscaping and garden redevelopment project.  We created a large two room space with a sliding pocket door separating the rooms to save space.

The room is 7.5 x 4.5m, is finished in vertical cedar cladding with a roof hood and composite decking step and has large 4 panel sliding UPVC doors.  To minimise noise we fitted acoustic glass and sound proofing measures to the walls and ceiling.
