Treatment room, Eastcote
About this design
This garden office in Eastcote was an unusual build in that it required the installation of a number of ceiling hooks to support a significant load. The client wanted to use the room as an office, but also fot it to be possible to use it as an Osteopath treatment room in the future. The ceiling hooks had to be able to support the weight of children climbing ladders, swings and equipment, and also to support the weight of what they discribed as an “Indian Swing”.
In order to satisfy the requirements we teamed up with Livewell Architecture to apply for planning permission for the 3m extra height requirement and the 30m2 footprint. The exterior is finished with Cedral Lap weatherboard cladding in Silver Grey colour. To the interior we have fitted a toilet room with sliding pocket door to save space. A high spec electrical package was offered including air-conditioning and hidden HDMI, speaker and ethernet cables to allow a projector with full surround sound to be mounted in two different locations.
A challenging but very successful project for a delighted customer.
